Abstract: This article presents a case of a 48-year-old male patient who underwent video-assisted thoracoscopic right upper lobectomy and intrathoracic lymph node dissection, and developed delayed thoracic hemorrhage 10 days postoperatively.The surgery proceeded smoothly, and the patient had a good early recovery; however, 10 days after the operation, he suddenly experienced chest pain and dyspnea.Surgical exploration confirmed the cause as active bleeding from the bronchial artery at the bronchial stump.Hemorrhage following video-assisted thoracoscopic lung resection is relatively common, while delayed hemorrhage occurring a relatively long time after surgery is rare..
