Abstract: Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT),a therapy that transplants gut microbiota from healthy donors into patients, has evolved from an ancient folk remedy into a cuttingedge field of modern biomedicine. Its remarkable success in treating recurrent Clostridioides difficile infection (rCDI) provides a disruptive strategy for microbiomebased interventions in major chronic diseases.Based on current research evidence, this article systematically reviews the clinical application status of FMT and, drawing on the practical experience of Suzhou Municipal Hospital, delves into the pathways for constructing a standardized, interdisciplinary "Microbiome Medicine" system. It distills a replicable discipline development model centered on comprehensive disciplinary coverage,a multiomics technology platform, standardized procedures, highlevel platform and talent development, and an industryacademiaresearch closed loop.
