Abstract

Abstract: Emorrhagic complications associated with regional anesthesia are extremely rare,they can occur and may result in catastrophic outcomes.The fifth edition of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine’s Evidence-Based Guidelines on regional anesthesia in the patient receiving antithrombotic or thrombolytic therapy systematically reviews and updates management recommendations and strategies for various antithrombotic agents since 2018,with the aim of minimizing the risk of serious hemorrhagic complications like neuraxial hematoma.
