Abstract: Objective To study the expression significance of cancer gene Gankyrin in invasive ductal carcinoma(IDC) and precancerous lesions of the breast. Methods A total of 105 cases of IDC and precancerous tissue paraffin specimens resected during January 2016 to June 2018 were selected as research objects, including 65 cases of IDC tissue paraffin specimens and 40 cases of precancerous tissue paraffin specimens, and another 25 cases of normal breast tissue paraffin specimens with nontumor lesions resected during the same period were taken as controls.Compared the expression of Gankyrin in different histopathological specimens, and explore the relationship between Gankyrin expression in IDC histopathological specimens and disease characteristics and patient prognosis. Results The expression of Gankyrin in IDC was significantly higher than that in precancerous lesions and normal breast tissue( P <0.05),and the expression of Gankyrin in precancerous lesions was significantly higher than that in normal breast tissue( P <0.05).Among IDC patients, the positive rate of Gankyrin expression in patients with lymph node metastasis was 94.1%,which was significantly higher than that of patients without lymph node metastasis(67.7%)( P <0.05);the positive rate of Gankyrin expression in patients with intravascular tumor thrombus was 91.7%,significantly higher than those without intravascular tumor thrombus( 69.0 %)( P <0.05).The 3-year DFS of Gankyrin positive expression was 24.49%,and the 3-year DFS of negative expression was 60.00%.There was a statistically significant difference in the 3-year DFS curve between Gankyrin positive expression and negative expression( P <0.05).Cox regression analysis showed that clinical stage, degree of differentiation, lymph node metastasis, and Gankyrin positive expression were independent prognostic factors affecting progression-free survival(DFS)( P <0.05). Conclusion The cancer gene Gankyrin is highly expressed in IDC and precancerous tissues.Gankyrin expression is related to the prognosis of IDC disease.
