Abstract: Objective：To observe the shortterm and midterm clinical effect of transcatheter closure of secundum atrial septal defect through femoral vein transesophageal echocardiography and the indications for operation.Methods：65 cases of secundum atrial septal defect were analyzed by echocardiography before operation and the results of treatment.Results：All the 65 cases were successfully occluded without residual shunt.Conclusion：Transcatheter closure of secundum atrial septal defect through femoral vein transesophageal echocardiography is safe and effective,with less trauma and avoiding radiation.The occluder with preformed holes provides a new treatment opportunity for patients with severe pulmonary hypertension with atrial septal defect.
